by plane
Flying into Nantucket Memorial Airport (ACK) is quick and easy from Boston and the tri-state area. There are multiple direct flights a day from NYC (LGA/JFK), Newark (EWR), Westchester (HPN), and DC (DCA). For those coming from a bit further, connecting through the New York or Boston airports is likely your best option. Jet Blue, Delta and American Airlines operate seasonally.
by ferry
There are three main ferry operators providing transportation to Nantucket: Hy-Line Cruises (leaving from Hyannis, MA), Seastreak (leaving from New Bedford, MA) and Steamship Authority (leaving from Hyannis, MA). Each company offers a high speed boat that reaches the island in one hour; or you can bring your car over to the island on the Steamship Authority's slow boat that reaches the island in two and a half hours.
